About Hijama

Hijama (wet cupping) is a powerful, ancient healing therapy that works by gently drawing out toxins, inflammation, and stagnation through small, light incisions on the skin—don’t worry, the cuts are so superficial that most clients barely feel them. The Arabic word ‘Hijama’ comes from the root hajm, meaning ‘suction,’ and the process involves placing cups on the body, creating a vacuum, and releasing harmful or stagnant blood that may be contributing to pain or illness. This natural detox allows the body to reset, boosting blood flow, oxygen delivery, and immune response. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, “Whoever performs Hijama on the 17th, 19th, or 21st (of the lunar month), it is a cure for every disease.” [Sunan Ibn Majah]. In Sunnah medicine, these dates align with the moon’s gravitational pull, which influences the fluids within our body, making this therapy even more effective.
Hijama is known to relieve a wide range of conditions including chronic pain, migraines, stress, fatigue, poor circulation, digestive issues, infertility, hormonal imbalances, and skin concerns like acne and eczema. It’s especially helpful for people suffering from joint and muscle pain, sciatica, back pain, fibromyalgia, and sports injuries. Unlike massage which pushes into the muscles, cupping lifts the tissue, releases tension and improves circulation up to 4 inches deep. It supports lymphatic drainage, detoxifies internal organs, and restores the body’s natural energy flow. Many clients leave a session feeling lighter, clearer, and more energized—some even describe it as a spiritual cleanse, not just a physical one. When done regularly and at the right times, Hijama becomes a powerful preventative therapy that strengthens the body, calms the mind, and supports overall health and well-being.
